How to select the correct tie rod system specification according to concrete wall thickness?

For ordinary indoor walls with a height of less than 3 meters and a thickness of 200mm-300mm, 12mm and 14mm conventional tie rod systems can meet the load requirements. For high-rise exterior walls, basement walls and super-thick shear walls with a height of more than 5 meters, 16mm or higher-strength customized tie rod systems are required to avoid tensile fracture failure. The arrangement spacing of tie rod systems also needs adaptive adjustment. The standard spacing of conventional walls is 400mm-600mm; with the increase of wall height and pouring speed, the spacing needs to be appropriately reduced to enhance the overall tension restraint effect. In overseas engineering projects, the specification standards of tie rod systems are different from domestic ones. British and European standard tie rod systems have unified dimensional parameters and tensile load grades, which need to be selected in combination with local construction codes. It is forbidden to use low-specification tie rod systems for high-load working conditions in order to save costs. Before formal construction, technical personnel shall verify the tie rod specification and layout scheme, and conduct sampling tensile test for batch products to ensure that the ultimate tensile strength meets the design standard. Scientific specification matching can maximize the performance of the tie rod system, ensure the flatness and dimensional accuracy of concrete walls, and eliminate structural quality hidden dangers caused by improper material selection.
