What common construction errors will cause tie rod system failure?

Tie rod system failure is one of the common causes of concrete formwork bulging,wall deformation and dimensional deviation in construction projects.Most failures are not caused by product quality problems,but by irregular on-site operation and unreasonable layout.The first common error is arbitrary adjustment of tie rod spacing.In order to save materials,construction workers often increase the spacing of tie rods without authorization,resulting in insufficient overall tension restraint capacity.Under the action of concrete lateral pressure,the formwork expands outward locally,forming wall bulging defects.The second error is insufficient nut locking torque.Manual random tightening cannot reach the standard locking force,leading to loose formwork,displacement and gap leakage during concrete pouring,resulting in honeycomb and pitted surface on the concrete wall.Excessively violent locking is also wrong,which will cause thread sliding and rod body tensile deformation,damaging the structural performance of the tie rod system.The third typical error is mixed use of mismatched specifications.Using low-diameter thin tie rods for high-load thick walls,or mismatching nuts and tie rod threads,will lead to insufficient bearing capacity and sudden failure during pouring.The fourth error is irregular disassembly operation.Violent knocking and prying during disassembly will deform the tie rod thread and bend the rod body,making the component unable to be reused.In addition,the wrong installation position of the water stop ring of the waterproof tie rod system will lead to the failure of the waterproof function and wall leakage.In the construction process,technical disclosure and on-site supervision must be strengthened.The layout spacing of tie rods shall strictly follow the design scheme,and the locking torque shall be controlled uniformly.Special inspectors shall check the installation quality of tie rod systems before concrete pouring,and rectify all irregular operations in time.Standardizing on-site construction behaviors can completely avoid tie rod system failure accidents and ensure the forming quality and structural safety of concrete walls.
